Sculptures
Taking Night as a source for creative transformation, I find a threshold of creativity where the visible begins to become ill-defined, bringing the mind and imagination into play in “seeing.” This body of work was inspired by the progression of my father’s blindness and his increasing ability to perceive and make sense of the world through peripheral perception. Fungi and moths were my nocturnal starting points but soon morphed into new, abstract, and unexpected forms.
